Looking Up

from $80.00

What I See

Green leaves and dark branches gather around a clear patch of sky. Differences in leaf density make the central opening roughly circular but irregular, its shape defined entirely by the living edge around it.

What I Like About It

I am drawn to the reversal of subject and space. The sky appears empty, yet it is the form I notice first because every branch is participating in its outline.
